Frequently Asked Questions - General

1. How do I apply for work as a student in the Library?
Go to the Library Administration Office on Level 11 and fill out a job application form. Admininstration Office hours of opening are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may want to check out our Student Hiring Policy.There are also student positions available in the Curriculum Laboratory and you must contact their staff directly.

2. I'm teaching a class in L950. Who do I talk to about opening the room before each class?
When this classroom is booked through the Registrar's Office, the instructor/professor is given the key access code.  If the instructor/professor has forgotten the code, he may contact the Library Administration staff (329-2261) on Level 11 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will ensure that L950 is open if your class is between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Contact Security Services staff (329-2603) in L911 if you need the door open after 4:30 on weekdays or on weekends.

3. We need to book a room for a meeting. Can we book any of the classrooms in the Library?
Library classrooms must be booked through the Registrar's Office (329-2236). [Room Booking Procedures]

4. I have books that I'd like to donate to the Library. How do I go about doing this?

5. I've just completed my Master's Thesis and I want to give a copy to the Library. How do I go about doing this?
