There are about 10,000 students enrolled at the Universite Catholique de Lyon, including 2,100 international students.

Courses are offered in both English and French.
Courses Offered
There are pre-semester French language courses offered from August–September. The most popular program is 16-20 hours/week for a total of 80 hours at the price of €572. There are no pre-semester French language courses offered prior to the spring semester. Register for French classes early as they are very popular in Lyon.

Credit System and Transfer
As the European university academic structure varies greatly from the North American system, courses completed at a European exchange partner will not be transferred back to the U of L on a course-for-course basis. Rather, students will be required to successfully complete a certain number of ECTS (European Transfer Credit System) credits, in order to earn sufficient credit for U of L credit equivalency.
