Managed Applications exists to provide business solutions to University departments and faculties. It supports those applications which:

  • have a defined internal business client residing in a business unit or department (e.g. Email is excluded, but applications for Ancillary services would normally be included); and
  • are not served or managed as an Enterprise-wide application or service (e.g. Banner and Moodle as well as networking, telephony, IT infrastructure and basic desktop provisioning are excluded, but applications used extensively and primarily within a particular unit or department would normally be included);

Where possible, Managed Applications helps clients choose commercially available software. It does not provide custom software development.

What is the cost for this service?: 

The service to assess and recommend an appropriate business solution is centrally funded for most university departments and faculties; however the cost of software, software licensing, any additional hardware and other additional costs not covered under core funding will be passed on to the client.

When is this service available?: 

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM excluding statutory holidays.
