While there are many different flavors of Instant Messaging available today, IT Services provides an instant messaging application called Cisco Jabber for internal use (as well as via the VPN). In addition to providing IM capabilities, Jabber also allows integration with UofL telephony applications.
Other common instant messaging clients, such as MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, and Skype can also be used on the University network.
