Joyce Eves - Pension and Benefits Assistant
Joyce started with the University in August 2004. She comes to us with extensive experience in pension and benefits from the City of Lethbridge where she worked for 24 years. Joyce will be responsible for Blue Cross benefits, Alberta Health and Wellness and Great West Life Group Term Life and Voluntary Life and Citadel AD&D. Barb Thomsen, P.M. - Coordinator, Pension and Benefits
Barb has been with the University since 1989 where she has increasingly gained the knowledge and experience required to handle complex pension and benefits situations, analysis, and decision making. Barb is part of the Pension Administration Co-ordination Committee (PACC) for the UAPP working with her counterparts in Alberta universities to make administration of the pension plan easier and more effective for plan members. She is also part of a Working Group in the city, made up of Benefits personnel from the largest employers, currently working to make administration of the PSPP easier and more effective for plan members. Barb is responsible for PSPP and UAPP pension plans, Great West Life Long Term Disability administration for payment, WCB co-ordination for payments and SUB plans as well as statistics and analysis for plan renewals.
