Administrative Program Assistant II

The University of Lethbridge Development Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Program Assistant II (Annual Giving Officer). This is a full time continuing position starting in August 2013.
Reporting to the Manager, Development Programs, the successful candidate will be responsible for the University's annual fund raising programs including; the alumni campaign, the faculty staff campaign, organizing and leading the Student Call Centre, plus other annual fund solicitations targeted at various constituent groups. Duties include planning and implementing solicitation and relationship-building approaches using direct mail, telephone, e-solicitation, social media and face-to-face interaction. This position collaborates with Marketing and Communications staff in planning materials for these programs and using various mediums and communication tools to reach target audiences. This position also works with Advancement Services in various data management needs related to the programs. The position includes leading and training up to 25 student callers each semester and facilitating a volunteer team of faculty, staff and retirees.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,239.00 - $4,738.50 per month.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A diploma or undergraduate degree in communications, public relations,
marketing or a related field is required, as well 2-4 years of fund
raising experience. Previous experience supervising part time staff
and/or volunteers would be considered an asset. A suitable combination
of education and experience may be considered
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated talent in both written
and verbal communication. We are looking for applicants who have a
creative approach to problem solving, excellent interpersonal skills
and relationship building skills and highly organized to be able to
manage multiple programs. We are looking for an individual who can
work equally effectively independently, but also in a team environment.
The successful candidate must also be comfortable in a multi-task
environment. Availability to work evenings and weekends during parts
of the semester is required.
