Two Faculty Positions in Public Health

The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for two positions in Public Health

" Three year term position at the rank of Assistant Professor

" Probationary tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

If you possess a PhD in Public Health (Health Promotion, Population Health or Epidemiology) or a related discipline or a PhD near completion, your application is of considerable interest to us. Expertise in health promotion, population health, global health or epidemiology is required. Expertise in gerontology would also be an asset. You should have expertise in public health/health promotion practice, research and teaching and be prepared to develop a program of research.

Public Health is a new non-clinical degree providing a range of career options within a growing multidisciplinary field of practice. Students can choose between three broad areas of focus: Applied Public Health Practice, Health Policy and Promotion, and Public Health Promotion. The Program is unique in Alberta and supports provincial and national health goals promoting wellness and population health.

The Faculty of Health Sciences also offers programs in Nursing and Addictions Counselling. The Faculty is also home to the University of Lethbridge site of the Alberta Gaming Research Institute, a partnership among Alberta universities. The Faculty of Health Sciences offers a graduate program that leads to a Master of Science degree with opportunities to focus in Nursing, Addictions Counselling, and Health Sciences.
