PROCEDURE:

PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Performance review is an ongoing process to help employees to understand the nature and quality of their performance, and to identify what they must do to improve and motivate them to improve.

Performance Planning is the process of identifying the desired performance and gaining employees' commitment to perform to those expectations. Performance planning must clearly identify the results expected, as well as the behaviors and skills the employee is expected to demonstrate providing a specific action plan aimed at clear targets.

Performance Appraisal discussions are a year-end performance review of past performance and an opportunity to document the results of the year's performance management activities. The analysis of past performance provides a basis for planning next year's expectations and discussing development needs and career plans.

PROBATION REVIEW

Probation Period:

New Executive Directors, hired in continuing positions, will be on probation for a period of fifteen (15) months. Reviews of new Executive Directors are to be conducted at least three (3) months prior to the end of the probationary period.
