Interview Assessment Guide
The Interview Assessment Guide is a recommended selection tool designed by the Human Resources department to assist search committees in making an objective hiring decision based on performance-related criteria.
The Dean/Director/Supervisor responsible for making the final hiring decision should customize the assessment guide by identifying the key categories of behavioral qualities and knowledge requirements of the position and weight their importance to the successful performance requirements of the job. Interview questions should then be developed based on these behavior qualities and knowledge requirements.
Following each interview, the committee members will complete the assessment guide, and base their recommendations concerning each candidate on the criteria established , ranking their choices accordingly.
The Interview Assessment Guide is intended to protect the integrity of search committees and assist in the selection of high caliber candidates in a non-discriminatory fashion.
