The Records Management department offers in-person training to provide all University personnel with the knowledge and skill necessary to fulfil their records management responsibilities. The following courses are currently available.
Note: Space is limited to 20 participants in each class, so register early.
Records Management Fundamentals (2 hours)
In this course, participants will learn the basics necessary to fulfil their records management responsibilities, including how to identify University records, how long they need to be retained, and proper disposition methods. This course is appropriate for all staff and faculty.

Managing Physical Records (2 hours)
In this course, participants will acquire the tools necessary to establish a recordkeeping system that supports the effective management of physical University records. Participants will learn how to dispose of University records in accordance with the Records Management policy, transfer records to the University Records Centre for storage, and send transitory records and student work to Records Management for shredding.
Prerequisite: Records Management Fundamentals (Intro)

The Information Security Office offers several online training courses to help you keep electronic information secure. They cover topics such as phishing, choosing where to store your information, and encryption.
