Automated External Defibrillators (AED) proved an electric shock to a heart that has stopped beating. AEDs have been proven as one of the most important tools in saving the lives of individuals suffering from suddent cardiac arrest.
AED units are located in each building throughout campus. Take a moment to orientate yourself to the AED location nearest to you. University staff should familiarise themselves with the location of the AED nearest their work area and the person(s) who are trained to administer first aid/CPR. AED locations are indicated on the interactive campus map.
Please note when the AED housing is accessed it will emit a very high alarm.
