Booking an Appointment
How To Book
Call us 403.329.2484 (ext #1) or make an appointment in person (SU020 - Basement Level) in the Students' Union Building. We do not accept appointment bookings through our Contact Form or via email.
All of our clinics are busy and appointments eliminate disappointment at not being able to get in for an appointment or get the health professional of your choice. Appointments also help us to maximize our physicians' and practioners' time, resulting in less waiting time for you. See Clinic Schedule. While many appointments can be scheduled for the next business day, the wait time for yearly physicals may take 1 - 2 weeks.
If you walk-in to the Health Centre without an appointment, you will be asked to fill out a form about your health concern and request for immediate service. A staff member will assess you. Depending on the severity of your health problem or the availability of the health care provider, we can occasionally accommodate a last minute appointments. You can also Call ahead rather than walk-in. You will speak with a staff member who will direct you to either the local hosptial for emergencies, a local clinic or our clinic. For additional health care services see after-hours care. Depending on clinic schedule and demand, we may be able to accommodate occasional walk-ins.
Some City Clinics also provide Walk-in Service.
Moreover, if you believe you require same-day or immediate care, please ensure that you clearly state this to the front desk staff. See After Hours Care.
Why do I have to State the Purpose of My Visit?
This faciliates the scheduling process ensuring that you have sufficient time while also allowing practitioners to maximize the time they spend on campus.Appointments that are booked incorrectly may need to be rebooked to ensure adequate time and readiness for equipment.
