Single Student Housing
Satellite Television
Aperture Park and University Hall residences have a "on campus" serviced satellite system instead of cable. We are constantly trying to upgrade the system in order to bring you better reception and service. If you have problems with reception, please call the Housing Office or your RA and we will identify the problem and have it fixed. Please do not try to fix your reception by manufacturing your own antennae or splicing your cable. Both of these practices take away from the quality of your neighbors' reception and make it difficult to balance the system.
Independent satellite dishes and/or ornaments are not allowed to be affixed in any manner to the exterior of the buildings or grounds.
The ORS proudly presents the Focal Point, an information station located on channel 12. ORS and Housing Services will use this channel throughout the year to inform you of events, policies and any additional information you will need during your stay in Residence. If you wish to advertise on the channel (e.g. used books, typing, or tutoring) give your posting, in writing to your RA. The cost of this advertisement is approximately five dollars a week for a full screen, or two dollars a week for a crawl line.
TV Rooms
C4, P4 lobby, K300, K111, and P100 - All the television lounges are for resident use. You may watch TV, study, or wait for your laundry to be done, in any one of these comfortable rooms. Please let us know if there are any problems with the equipment. The sooner we know of a breakdown, the sooner we can fix it.
U-Hall Common Rooms - all University Hall residents can enjoy the main common areas on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors as a place to meet with your section, or just hang out. Please make sure you keep these areas clean.
