Getting Started

When To Apply For Housing

Once you have been in contact with the Registrar's Office and applied for full time admission you can now apply for housing, even if you have NOT yet been officially admitted to the University.  You will need your 9-digit U of L student ID number to complete our online application.

Note: A room offer ("Offer of Accommodation") cannot be sent until a student officially ACCEPTS their Offer of Admission to the university.

Officially Admitted to the U of L

The Registrar's Office will contact you with a formal Offer of Admission. Once you have notified the Registrar's Office and submitted your payment, this information will be put into our University database (Banner). Housing Services will be notified via a secondary system, Star Rez, and your housing request will then be activated.

In rare instances, the Registrar's Office may be in the position of having to rescind an Offer of Admission. By default, your housing request will also be deactivated.

Housing Services is not responsible for determining your academic eligibility. Please contact the Registrar's Office  for all academic matters.

Starting Your Housing Application

Once you have familiarized yourself with our residences you can then get started with your housing application.
