Paper Recycling ? Do You Have Your Blue Box?

To assist you with your paper recycling efforts, Caretaking Services is providing each suite with the Blue Box.

When your box is full, just transfer the contents to the central bulk paper recycling station, which is located in the common areas of your residence.

If you are wondering about what type of paper goes in which canvas bag… it’s too easy!!

White Paper = White Bag
Mixed Paper = Blue/Green Bag

Here is a break down of what can go where.

White Bag
- Computer paper with our without print
- Computer paper with perforated edges
- Laser computer printout
- White bond with or without print
- White photocopy paper
- White typing paper
- White tablet paper

Blue or Green Bag
- Adding machine paper
- Blueprints
- Books (including phone books)
- Book paper (remove binding)
- Catalogues (1/2” thick maximum)
- Newspaper
- Colored paper
- Newspaper
- Colored paper
- Construction paper
- Envelopes
- Fax paper
- File folders
- Glossy calendars
- Loose leaf paper
- Magazines
- Post-It notes

Unacceptable Items
- Carbon paper
- Food wrapping or brown lunch bag
- Paper towels or napkins
- Plastic bags and laminate
- Rubber bands
- Styrofoam and paper cups
- Tissue
- Waxed paper

Also note that shredded paper is to be bagged separately. Please do not put shredded paper inside the central recycling bags.
