Please Note: New students must have admission to the University in order to qualify for placement in residence. Students are able to apply for residence prior to receiving their University admission, however a student is only eligible for a room offer once admission status has been confirmed.

Application Process

You should apply as early as possible to improve your chances of being accepted.

  3. The application will not be processed without payment of:
    • Single Student Housing: $150.00 fee (application Fee of $50.00 and Advanced payment of $100.00)
    • Family Housing: Application Fee of $50.00

Application Process
Applications are accepted starting in September for the following September occupancy. Applications may be obtained online here. You must print your application, fill it out and mail it along with the non-refundable application fee plus a deposit to University of Lethbridge, Housing Services. Contact information is noted several paragraphs below. Students are advised to apply as early as possible to improve their chances for accommodation. Newly admitted applicants, applying before April 1, will have their names entered into an accommodation lottery. Approximately 75% of the allocated beds will be randomly selected. The names drawn will be guaranteed accommodation prior to May 1. Returning students, whose applications are received by January 18, will participate in a lottery draw for 75% of the allocated beds. Others will have their names placed on the application list in priority order, according to date received.

The $50.00 is a non-refundable application fee, however, the $100.00 advance deposit would be refundable ONLY if you: 1) are denied admission to the University, 2) cancel your application, in writing, prior to June 1st (without having received an offer), or 3) do not receive a room offer by the first day of classes.
