Student ID Card

Student ID access cards will be required to gain entrance to University facilities such as Sport & Recreation Services, and Library Facilities.

All students accessing Paterson Centre for laundry services will use their U of L Student ID Card to enter the facility. You must have your student ID card programmed at the Housing Services office (C420) to gain access to the laundry facility.

Access cards also serve as their Dining Plan Card

Lost cards must be reported immediately to avoid the use of Dining Dollars. Dining Plan purchases up to the time the ID card is reported lost shall be the responsibility of the ID Card holder.

Replacement ID Card requests must be submitted at https://go.uleth.ca/RequestIDCard.

ID Cards can be picked up 4-8 business hours after the request is submitted. You will receive an email when your ID Card is ready for pickup. Found ID Cards should be returned to the ITS Solution Centre located in TH218, Turcotte Hall.

1. Obtaining Your First Card

  • You will need to obtain your student ID card from the U of L IT Help Desk located in Turcotte Hall (TH218) or by submitting online
  • You will need to provide the staff with your University Student Identification Number (found on your Offer of Accommodation) & picture ID.
  • If it is your first year at the University, and you have submitted your ID photo on time and it has been accepted, you will  be provided with your ID card and key fob upon move-in

2. Activating Student ID Card

  • Students living in The Village using Paterson Centre for laundry purposes MUST get their student ID card activated at Housing Services (C420) to gain access to the building.

3. Replacing Student ID Card

  • You will need to obtain a replacement card from the U of L IT Help Desk located in Turcotte Hall (TH218). Note: You will be charged a fee for lost, stolen, or damaged cards.

  • Dining Plan and Bridge Bucks will already be active on your ID card

Use U of L Student ID as a Debit Card

A safe and convenient method of transacting goods and services at the U of L. University operations will accept payment by Bridge Bucks through a simple swipe of your Student ID Card. No banking fees. Your money is deposited in a central account. This is also how your dining plan works.

Three Options To Load Money*

1. MyFunds

Click on MyFunds and sign in with your University of Lethbridge username and password to manage your Dining Plan and Bridge Bucks funds.

2. Self-Serve Load Stations

Cash or credit card. Stations are located:

  • Inside the Library
  • Across from Tim Hortons
  • In the U Hall Atrium
  • Section E of University Hall

3. In-Person Office Visit

Cash or credit card. A minimum deposit of $5.00 is required (except at Cash Office).
