Lethbridge, AB - At the first day of training camp there will be plenty of new faces on the ice for the Pronghorn women’s hockey team, as third-year Head Coach Chandy Kaip has secured the commitment of 9 new players for the 2010-11 season. Kaip has added a good balance of positions into the fold with four forwards, two defenders and three goaltenders.

Canadian U20 team Led by Two Horns in Win Over Caribbean Selects

Lethbridge, AB – After helping the Pronghorn women’s rugby team to its third consecutive CIS title, Kelsey Willoughby and Laura Murphy-Burke are now making a name for themselves on the international stage with the Canadian Under 20 women’s rugby team.

Canada's U20 women's team opened the 2010 North American Caribbean Rugby Association regional tournament with a seven try 43-0 victory over a Caribbean Select side.

    Female Athlete of the Week:
     
    No Nominee – no female athletes in competition
     
    Male Athlete of the Week:
     
    Ryan Tarnava – Men’s Track
     
    First-year thrower, Ryan Tarnava, after seeing continuous improvement throughout the season, had a personal best performance this past weekend in Windsor at the CIS Championships.
     
    On his third of six throws Ryan set a new personal best by more than 80 centimeters with a distance of 16.27 meters. That throw earned him sixth place in the country.
