FNMI Services

Support Services for Aboriginal Students in Health Sciences

First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) people have a long tradition of caring for the ill and helping people stay well, yet the shortage of health care professionals is particularly evident in rural and FNMI communities across Canada.

The Faculty of Health Sciences' commitment to FNMI students remains a central feature of its programming. Support services are offered to FNMI students in the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Health Sciences Addictions Counselling and Public Health programs.
