Admission Requirements for Programs in the Faculty of Health Sciences

To apply to the Bachelor of Nursing program, Alberta applicants must have:
- English Language Arts 30-1 (minimum 60%)
- Biology 30
- Chemistry 30
- Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
- One additional 30-level course

To apply for the Aboriginal Health major in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program, Alberta applicants must have:
- English Language Arts 30-1
- Three approved 30-level academic courses
- One additional 30-level course

To apply to the Addictions Counselling major in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program, Alberta applicants must have:
- English Language Arts 30-1
- Three approved 30-level academic courses
- One additional 30-level course

To apply for the Public Health major in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program, Alberta applicants must have:
- English Language Arts 30-1
- Biology 30
- Chemistry 30
- Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
- One additional 30-level course

To apply to the Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation program, applicants must have a four-year bachelor's degree, or an approved diploma in therapeutic recreation or recreation therapy. Other diplomas may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

To apply to the Addictions Counselling major in the Post-Diploma Bachelor of Health Sciences program, applicants must have an approved diploma and a minimum GPA of 3.00. Other diplomas may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

To apply to the Public Health major (Health Leadership minor) in the Post-Diploma Bachelor of Health Sciences program, applicants must have an approved diploma in health or human services. Other diplomas may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Students who are lacking one or more of the 30-level courses required for admission may apply to the one-year Indigenous Student Success Cohort.
