| Spring October 1 |
Summer February 1 |
Fall (First Round)* February 1 |
Fall (Second Round)* May 1 |
* There are two rounds of admission for Fall (September 1) entry to the M.A. program. The Second Round of admission is intended for applicants who are unable to confirm funding from external agencies (e.g., SSHRC) before February 1. Applicants who can confirm funding before February 1 should submit their application for the First Round of admission. Spaces are limited in these programs; early applications are encouraged. Applicants who choose an Individualized Multidisciplinary major with a Social Sciences Concentration in Anthropology, Kinesiology, Sociology, or Women's Studies in the M.A. program are accepted for admission to the Fall semester only and must apply by February 1 or May 1.
Applicants normally must meet the following minimum requirements before the University will consider admission:
Applicants are considered on a case-by-case basis. Preference is given to students whose proposed research is related to the supervisor’s funded research program.
Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) Requirement for Graduate Studies.
