Women Scholars Award

Gender Studies Students

The purpose of this award is to underline the importance of exploring gender issues

Students entering, returning after an absence or continuing graduate student studying part or full-time

 Value of this award

  • $1,000; tenable upon confirmation of enrolment at the University of Lethbridge in the Fall and Spring semesters immediately following the granting of the award

Criteria

  • Preference will be given to a single parent, and a student conducting research on gender issues or a female student studying in a non-traditional discipline (a field of study in which the participation rate of women is 33% or below as published in CAUT almanac).
  • Academic achievement (minimum GPA of 3.5 for entering students);
  • Satisfactory progress and standing in the graduate program for continuing students
  • Financial need
