As you may be aware, the Graduate Students’ Association Collective Agreement comes into effect May 1st, 2011.  This agreement, between the Board of Governors and the Graduate Students’ Association, is required by the Post Secondary Learning Act, and it governs the employment of graduate students, as graduate teaching assistants, at the U of L.  All members of the University of Lethbridge community should familiarize themselves with the terms of the agreement.  The agreement will be particularly important for those who supervise or coordinate graduate teaching assistantships.  As part of an ongoing orientation process, there will be a town-hall meeting, to provide an overview of the GSA Collective Agreement, to  highlight some of its salient features, and to address any associated queries or concerns.
