Dear Graduate Students and Supervisors,
Please be advised that the School of Graduate Studies has revised the application process for the Advantage Award effective immediately.

In order to serve our community to the best of our ability we will continue to have deadlines prior to the start of each semester.  This ensures all the necessary paperwork is completed in order for students to receive payment in the first month of each term.  In addition to this, we will now accept late applications up to one month following the deadline (e.g. Aug. 23rd).  However, late applications will be processed for payments to begin in the second month of the term.  No additional late applications will be accepted after this period. 

For example, complete applications received on time for the Aug. 23rd, 2010 deadline will be processed in time for payment to begin with the September payroll.  Therefore students will receive Advantage Award payments for the months of September, October, November and December.  Complete applications received Aug. 24th to Sept. 23rd, 2010 will be processed for October payroll.  In this instance students will receive Advantage Award payments only for the months of October, November and December.  No application will be accepted after Sept. 23rd, 2010; no exceptions.  NOTE:  Late applications will not be retroactively compensated for the missed month of the term.

For any student who missed the Aug. 23rd, 2010 deadline, please submit your completed Advantage Award application with the necessary supporting documentation to me no later than Sept. 23rd, 2010 in order to receive this award beginning in October.
