Announcement from Dean Wood

I am pleased to inform you that, effective January 1st 2012, all incoming PhD students will receive the SGS Entrance and Continuing Award, which is valued at $3,000 per year, for 3 years of full-time study (this award was previously only available to students in the MA and MSc programs).  Current full-time PhD students will also begin to receive this award, through to the end of their third year of full-time study, although there will be no retroactive payment to earlier periods of registration.  This award is in addition to the Graduate Teaching Assistantship, and the Research Assistantship, which all full-time PhD students presently receive.

Newly revised and approved terms of reference for the SGS Entrance and Continuing Award are here.   If you have questions about the award, or the new terms of reference, then please contact the SGS Awards Advisor, Ms. Deirdre Coburn (deirdre.coburn@uleth.ca ).

Sincerely,

Robert Wood, PhD
