Eligibility
Opent to all applicants currently enrolled in a graduate program at an Alberta university undertaking health-related training leading to a thesis-based graduate degree.
Applicants must have completed their first year of graduate training.
PLUS Option
The Graduate Studentship Program offers an optional component called the PLUS option. The PLUS option provides up to one year of additional support so that trainees can gain valuable experience and additional skills beyond those acquired through their direct graduate research training.
Value
The Graduate Studentship provides a stipend of $30,000 per year, and a research and career development allowance $2000 per year.
The Graduate Studentship will provide a maximum of four years of support towards graduate training. Under the PLUS option, AIHS will consider providing up to one additional year of support for the trainee to gain experience in areas outside the scope of their direct research training.
Submit completed (with the first three signatures only) applications to SGS Award Advisor (AH 115) by 16:00 ON March 25, 2013 for review and to obtain remaining signatures.
NOTE: Dean and ORIS signatures cannot be obtained without first being reviewed by the SGS Award Advisor.
