Message From Dean Fiske

Welcome to the School of Graduate Studies website. The University of Lethbridge has emerged on the academic stage as a comprehensive university offering a wide range of research and professional master’s and doctoral degrees. As the University of Lethbridge celebrates twenty-five years of graduate studies I take pride in our expanding graduate programs and services.

The School of Graduate Studies offers you a wide range of innovate opportunities from individualized research mentored by world renown faculty through professional degrees led by outstanding researchers and practitioners to innovative multidisciplinary programs led by cooperative teaching teams comprising leading researchers. We welcomed our first students in the Master of Fine Arts, Master of Music and Part Time Master of Arts degrees in September 2009.

We are a school on a personal scale: whatever program you choose, we offer close interaction between faculty and graduate students. We recruit faculty and students from around the world enhancing learning experiences through cultural diversity and intellectual breadth.

The School of Graduate Studies offers personalized support services from your initial inquiries through to your graduation.  An awards officer has joined our team with a mandate to assist you as you apply for scholarships and awards offering help finding appropriate awards and guiding the development of grant applications.

I look forward to many more exciting changes in the near future and to welcoming new students as they join our community of scholars, innovators, artists and professionals.
