Please join the School of Graduate Studies in welcoming Ms. Greta Vardazaryan to her new position as the Graduate Enrolment Management (GEM) Coordinator effective June 13, 2016.  As the GEM Coordinator, Greta will provide cross-campus assistance, facilitation, support, coordination, and implementation of marketing and recruitment functions and activities for graduate programming.  These actions align with the University’s enrolment needs and goals, and are formulated by and congruent with the University’s Strategic Enrolment Plan and the Integrated Graduate Enrolment Management Plans.

Greta completed her Master of Arts degree majoring in Women and Gender Studies at the University of Lethbridge in Spring 2016 as well as her Bachelor degree in International Relations from Yerevan State University in 2014.  Greta’s thesis research examined immigrant women’s political participation in Lethbridge.

While completing her master’s degree, Greta actively engaged in a leadership role in the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA).  During her 2015/2016 term as the GSA VP-Academic, Greta advocated for graduate students across all levels of the University community and at the provincial level.  Her GSA executive role also included directing the First Impressions program, and assisting with new student orientation, student engagement activities, and various social events.

We are excited that Greta has joined the SGS team and the University community as the institution continues its efforts directed at strategic enrolment management, marketing, and recruitment. Greta’s energy, enthusiasm, and commitment and her experiences as a graduate student position her for success in her new duties and responsibilities.
