The 4th annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition is hosted by the School of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Students' Association. Registered participants should review the 3MT® Information Package for detailed information about the 2016 competition.
Participants should register for a practice session on one of the followng dates by January 27, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.
- February 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in B640
- February 15 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in B640

Each student registered in the 3MT® competition will have a 15 minute individualized practice session appointment. Participation in the practice session is optional and we will attempt to accomodate all participants' preferences.
Those who register for a practice session will be contacted by email with a specific appointment time as well as other important information, additional details, and required forms that need to be completed.
Students who attend a practice session will need to arrive 10 minutes prior to their appointment times and be prepared with presentation notes and materials for taking notes.
PowerPoint slides should be forwarded to Stacey Leavitt by 4:30 pm on February 6, 2017.
Note: We will be hosting three heats on February 28, March 1, and 2nd from 4:00-6:00 pm in AH100. Additional information regarding the heats will be forthcoming.
The working committee for the 3MT® will prepare the practice session environment:
- Open PP slide for each presenter,
- Start 3-minute clock for each presenter,
- Track appointment time,
- Take notes reflecting coaches feedback and comments, and
- Monitor access to B640. Please do not enter B640 until an invitation is extended by a committee member.
