Part 1: Registration and Degree Requirements

Degree requirements

To graduate from the Master of Science (Management) program, students must have satisfied the following requirements:

Students must receive a minimum grade of ‘B-’ (2.70 on a 4.00 scale) in all courses which are graded and which count toward the degree and in all qualifying courses, if any. A student who receives two (2) grades below a ‘B-’ may be required to withdraw from the program. All courses completed in the Master of Science (Management) program or transferred into the program are included in the calculation of the program GPA for graduation purposes.

A student must obtain a minimum cumulative program GPA of 3.00 in order to graduate from the program. Refer to Academic Standards in the Master of Science (Management) Programs section of the Graduate Studies Calendar ( for details.

Master’s Thesis

The Master’s Thesis must be defended in an oral examination. The student must pass the examination, make required revisions to the Master’s Thesis, and submit the PDF copy of the final Master’s Thesis via the e-thesis system when notified by the School of Graduate Studies.

Residency Requirement

A minimum of 12 months continuous full-time registration, or 24 months continuous part-time registration

Time Limit

A maximum of 24 months continuous full-time registration, or 48 months continuous part-time registration
