EndNote Basic: Introduction Workshop

Will you be writing a lot of research papers or a thesis this term?  Do you struggle with proper citation of your reference sources or with organizing your research articles and chapters?  Citation management tools such as EndNote can help.  Current students, faculty and staff may download EndNote to their personal workstations or devices for free under the University‚Äôs site license.  Sign up for a Library workshop to learn how to use EndNote effectively.  Fall workshops are offered monthly, September to November.

Endnote is a "bibliographic citation management software" used to manage and organize your research literature. It integrates with Microsoft Word (and selected other word processing software) so that you can "cite-while-you-write" using any of a number of built in citation styles.  Endnote is available for both the Windows and Mac computers.

We will be using the latest version, Endnote X8. For this workshop students should bring their own laptop, PC or Mac, should have the software already installed.

The EndNote Basic workshop will include:

    • Getting to know Endnote
    • A tour of EndNote and EndNote basic
    • Building a library of citations
  • Date: Monday, September 18, 2017

    Time: 2:00 - 3:00 pm

    Location: L950
