The scholarship is to further recognize the importance of agriculture in our community by supporting a top student in their pursuit of an agricultural career.

  • Canadian Indigenous person 
  • Enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution, traditional knowledge program or arts training 
  • Enrolled full-time 
  • Must have a financial need 
  • Not a member of the staff, board, or jury at the time of applying for the support; 
  • Study outside of Canada is considered only at the graduate level. (Masters and PhD).


The application must include:

  • A covering letter which demonstrates their academic achievements, community contributions, leadership abilities and aspirations in an agriculture related field,
  • Three letters of reference from their post-secondary institution and community leader(s) confirming the applicant’s volunteer / leadership qualities,
  • An overview of their field of study to be supported by the scholarship.
