Trout Unlimited Canada’s Oldman River Chapter actively works to conserve, protect and restore freshwater ecosystems in southwestern Alberta. Education is an integral part of our mandate, and to this end we believe any research that contributes to the understanding of freshwater ecosystems is valuable and deserving of our support.

To provide incentive for research in the area, we offer up to four annual scholarships of up to $1500 to researchers at the University of Lethbridge or Lethbridge College who demonstrate a commitment to furthering our knowledge of freshwater ecosystems.

Criteria

  • Masters or Doctoral, Canadian, PR or International students
  • Applicant’s research must contribute meaningfully to Trout Unlimited Oldman River Chapter’s mission to conserve, protect, and restore freshwater ecosystems in southwestern Alberta
  • Applicant must present to members of Oldman River Chapter and general public at the Chapter’s Annual General Meeting
