Wireless Point of Sale Machine
Financial Services has a Moneris wireless point of sale (POS) machine (with Bell Mobility providing the wireless service) that can be used to process debit and credit card transactions. This machine can be used when departments or faculties are holding events at a location, on or off campus, where there is no internet connection available for a regular Moneris point of sale machine.
The wireless POS machine is available on a first-come, first-serve basis from Financial Services. It should be reserved in advance to ensure that the batteries have a full charge and are ready for use. When coming to Financial Services to pick up the machine, bring a valid University of Lethbridge identification card. The department/faculty assumes full responsibility and financial liability for borrowing the wireless POS machine. The department agrees to pay for the loss of/or repair to the wireless POS machine and peripherals while in their possession.
At the time of pick up, a checklist of items being loaned will be reviewed and signed off. It is the responsibility of the person picking up the POS machine to ensure that all items on the checklist are present. Financial Services will provide some basic information on the operation of the POS machine.
