Sonic Environments

Studio One

Studio One is an advanced listening, mixing and recording studio located in the Centre for the Arts. Designed by Jay Kaufman, renowned engineer and studio designer, it is an acoustically accurate environment with a keen attention to aesthetics.

A comprehensive analog/digital environment, Studio One features a 48 Channel SSL Duality complimented by a custom 5.1 surround monitoring system and an extensive collection of microphones. This facility also features various hardware/software processing units, a Yamaha C3 Grand Piano and a Yamaha Beech Custom drum set. Studio One is also connected to our 220 seat recital hall to allow for recording larger ensembles. The recital hall, renovated in 2014, features two Steinway Grand Pianos.
