New Media

Through a combination of creative and technical expertise that blends art, drama, and music with digital and interactive media, you develop the knowledge, skills, and expertise to succeed in a range of new media industries and creative practices. 

Students explore, study, and create in a wide range of areas including:

  • 3D modeling
  • Animation
  • Digital video production
  • Graphic design
  • Special visual effects
  • Web and interactive design

 Internship

You may choose to work locally, nationally, or internationally in your area of interest during the last semester of your final year of study.  During your 300-hour internship, you gain real-work experience in the industry and make valuable contacts prior to graduation.

 Minors Offered with Management

The BFA New Media is the first Fine Arts degree to include three minor options offered by the Faculty of Management: General Management, Information Systems, or Marketing.  You can earn a minor in one of these areas by taking 5 classes as part of your BFA (New Media) degree program.
