Major changes coming to Experience Fine Arts Day (EFAD) for 2020.
After much deliberation, the University of Lethbridge has chosen to change EFAD from a Spring event to a Fall event, with our 9th annual EFAD occuring at the end of September as opposed to February. This change will allow for high school students to experience all that the University and the Fine Arts has to offer earlier in the school year, while informing them of scholarship opporunities and more.
This event provides local high school students the opportunity to experience everything within the Faculty of Fine Arts by participating in customized workshops organized by our professors, instructors and students. Hundreds of workshops and thousands of students later, we continue to offer this invaluable opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the Faculty of Fine Arts for an entire school day!
Schools are invited to participate this free event and can apply for a transportation subsidy to support schools in attending.
Grade 10 - 12 Students are invited to:
- Register in workshops in art history/museum studies, art studio, Native American art, drama performance, technical design, digital audio arts, music studio, and new media that reflect courses they would take while as a university student.
- Tour Fine Arts facilities and the uLethbridge campus.
- Meet professors, advisors, and Fine Arts students.
- Get advice on admissions, portfolio submissions and auditions.
