| There is no better time or place for students to study Environmental Science.
The University of Lethbridge provides a program that combines conceptual training
in the foundation sciences (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Earth Sciences)
with practical, hands-on experience. Our program places emphasis on exposing
students to a state-of-the-art science and research environment. In addition
to research expertise within the Departments of Biological Sciences and Geography,
students also have the opportunity to work with local researchers at The Lethbridge
Agricultural Research Centre, Ducks Unlimited, The Nature Conservancy Council,
Alberta Conservation Association, and The Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Careers:
Graduates from this discipline have gone on to work in such positions as: conservation
biologist, forestry technician, industrial planner, land-use analyst, environmental
consultant, hydrologist, and aerial photo interpreter.
