Carpentry Shop

The Carpentry Shop is responsible for providing quality assurance and control of new building construction and renovations. See Architectural Commissioning. This includes overseeing work performed by contractors during the construction process including critical event and intermittent inspections of all building components including building envelopes, wall assemblies, windows, doors, roofing substrates, insulation membranes, flashings and waterproofing. See Carpentry Safe Work Procedures.

Additional Duties

  • Construction and erection of small outbuildings or sheds, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, metal or other building materials.
  • Assisting Building Operations with the installation or repair of windows, doors, and flooring, handrails, paneling, molding, roofing and ceiling systems
  • Modification of existing workstations, cabinets, counters and other custom millwork as required
