Art Now speaker - Andrew Horrall

The Art Now visiting lecture series welcomes Andrew Horrall to the podium.

Horrall is a senior archivist at Library and Archives Canada and adjunct professor of history at Carleton University. From 2006-2009 he was NATO Archivist, running the Alliance’s international archives program from NATO headquarters in Brussels. He attended Bishop’s and McGill universities before completing a doctorate in History at Cambridge. He has published on entertainment in Edwardian Britain and popular culture during the First World War.  His study of Alan Jarvis, "Bringing Art to Life", which was lauded as “setting a new standard in cultural biography in Canada,” was nominated for several major literary prizes, and won the 2010 Ottawa Book Award.
