Our combined degree program brings together your love of learning and your passion to teach.  It gives you all of the academic benefits of your chosen major as well as an extensive opportunity to learn about, practice, and refine your abilities as a teacher.  It’s truly the best of both worlds.

Here’s how it works:

• you’ll need to complete 50-courses over 5 years
• at least 30 of those courses needs to be in your chosen first degree in one of a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Management
• your major needs to include a teachable school subject
• 20 of the 50 courses need to be in Education

When you’ve successfully completed all of these requirements, you’ll be conferred with two degrees:  a Bachelor in your chosen degree, and a Bachelor of Education.  The requirements of both degrees must be met before either degree is conferred.

How do I apply?

If you are a current UofL student you'll need to complete a Specialized Application Form.  Forms can be picked up from the Registrar's Office or from Student Program Services.
