Addictions and Mental Health Counselling

This special focus on Addictions and Mental Health Counselling is taught by the Faculty of Health Sciences using the framework of the M.Ed. (Counselling Psychology) program. 

This offering is designed to prepare counsellors to effectively work with a range of addiction issues, such as alcohol/drug abuse, gambling and sexual addiction, integrated with other concurrent mental health issues.  Structured to meet the graduate course requirements for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists, the program recognizes the importance of therapeutic intervention at the levels of the individual, group, and family. 

Mode of delivery for this particular cohort:
This two-year, full-time cohort will use a variety of face-to-face teaching options including days, evenings, weekends, and on-campus intensive summer courses.
