The Western Deans' Agreement (WDA) is a long-standing arrangement among eleven graduate schools in Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Regina, Calgary, Alberta, Lethbridge, Athabasca, University of Northern British Columbia, Simon Fraser, British Columbia and Victoria). The Agreement was conceived to assist graduate students at Western Canadian universities in taking graduate courses that are not available at their home university. Students may register under this agreement provided that the period for which the fees are remitted does not exceed two academic terms of four months each, and that the course to be pursued is not available at the student’s home institution.
