 President's Address

    My name is Stephanie Vincent and I am the current president of the Education Undergraduate Society (EUS). I have been on the EUS council since Fall 2011, serving one term as secretary and another as president. My future goal is to work in the field of Early Childhood Education and I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Lethbridge; studying Social Studies Education and Anthropology. I am extremely excited to begin the spring semester and continue working with the amazing students in our university's faculty of education.

     The EUS council has been working hard not only to provide members with valuable opportunities to network with other student teachers, but also to grow individually as professionals. Our council recognizes the importance of gaining experience and knowledge outside of the classroom through professional development and volunteer opportunities. We strive to connect you with community organizations and resources that fit your interests, needs, and availability; drawing on both the university community and Lethbridge professionals.

     This semester the EUS will be providing professional development (PD) through noon PD Sessions. Each PD session caters to the needs and interests of students studying education at the University of Lethbridge. The EUS tutoring service provides another opportunity for student teachers to gain invaluable experience by working with students one on one. Our tutoring director will match you with a Lethbridge student in need of assistance in a subject area that you are comfortable with. Recognizing the importance networking holds for student teachers, our social directors plan to work hard this semester to present several fun events.

We are here to support you and make your experience in the Faculty of Education a memorable and rewarding one.
