The Alberta Initiative for School Improvement (AISI) provides significant funding for school and district projects which focus on measurably improving student learning.  However, AISI brings more than just funding to Alberta schools, it offers teachers bold and innovative ways to improve their classrooms practices while focusing on student achievement.

AISI projects are created and implemented with a specific goal: AISI is a catalyst for change.  Through partnership, flexibility and collaboration, AISI projects are promoting a culture of continuous improvement in our schools.  Through evidence based practices and research based innovations AISI projects are building the capacity and sustainability of professional development in Alberta schools - it's about contributing to the body of knowledge about teaching, learning and instructional improvement.

We recognize the value of AISI-funded projects and are proud to play a role in this provincial initiative to improve learning and education in Alberta.  We’re not just committed to assisting schools and school districts with their AISI research; we’re also here to provide resources and support as partners.
