This page is the entry to a series of monthly descriptions of my model train activities. It will attempt to give a fairly accurate accounting of the two major "costs" incurred by the hobby (time and money).
From a time perspective the goal is to average a minimum of 5 hours per week on the hobby.
From a dollar perspective, there is no real budget but clearly money does not grow on trees. All values will be in Canadian dollars.
Much more important than these "bean counting" activities are:
- time actually spent having fun
- my attitude at various points over time
- learning more about different aspects of the hobby
- learning more about "real" trains
- making some new friends through the hobby
- learning more about web site construction.
Hopefully this journal will provide a sense of these latter 6 dimensions.
