Burns Endowment Fund Program for visiting scholars

The Dhillon School of Business at the University of Lethbridge invites scholars from other institutions or organizations, and successful national or international business professionals to apply for the annual Burns Endowment Fund Program.

Two options for appointment are available:

  • Burns Visiting Fellow for a short-term visit
  • Burns Visiting Chair, normally for a semester-long visit.

The successful applicant will be invited as a Burns Visiting Chair/Fellow to the Dhillon School of Business.

What's involved

Visiting scholars are asked to comply with certain expectations in terms of research presentations during their visit. The Burns Visiting Chair/Fellow is provided with a housing allowance and return airfare. The Burns Visiting Chair is also provided with remuneration equivalent to the current pay structure for sessional instructors in the Dhillon School of Business as compensation for delivering a course for the duration of the semester. Travel and accommodation costs to the Calgary campus is covered by the program.

Interested individuals are also asked to contact a faculty member in the visitor’s area of expertise to explore teaching and research opportunities. Expressions of interest should be made to Corie Lazenby. Please indicate approximately when you are likely to be available and attach a copy of your resumé or curriculum vitae, publication list if applicable, and areas of interest for both teaching and research.
