Girls Science Club

2016 - 2017 will be our fifth year for our Girls Club! We are excited to be working with the Lethbridge School District (LSD) middle schools to be leading our program InnovateHer: An Actua Science Club for Girls. Actua, a National organization to which Destination Exploration is a member is working with the Canadian Women's Foundation to help us bring this worthwhile program to Southern Alberta. Our goal is to get more girls interested in science, technology, engineering and math and to encourage them help to hurdle some of the barriers that have traditionally prevented them from pursuing careers in these fields.

Who: Grade 6 - 8 Middle School Girls.

What: Hands on science experiments and activities in a safe, friendly, and fun environment.

When: Fridays, 12:00 - 3:00, October - April.

Where: Wilson, Paterson, and G.S. Lakie.

Why: To build confidence in science, and have a blast!
