Pop-up Study Skills Table

Monday to Friday, Dec. 2 to 6, 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., Alcove, Level 10, Library

Students facing final exams can get help from peer learning mentors. Peer learning mentors are U of L students who have been trained in learning strategies. They can help students build study plans, tackle procrastination and more. Best of all, they know what it’s like to learn, study and overcome obstacles.

The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Friday, Dec. 6, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Women’s Peace Garden, Level 10 South, Library

Everyone is invited to pay tribute to the 14 women who were murdered in the mass shooting at École Polytechnique in Montréal on Dec. 6, 1989 and to remember those who have been impacted by gender-based violence. Each planter in the Women’s Peace Garden commemorates one of the women lost in the shooting. This is an informal drop-in event.

Stringendo & Sinfonia Allegro Winter Concert

Saturday, Dec. 7, 2 to 4 p.m., Casa

This free concert features the talented students in the intermediate and advanced youth strings orchestras. The concert will be led by conductors Mark Rodgers (Stringendo) and Gabe Kastelic (Sinfonia).
