Enrolment up at the University of Lethbridge’s Calgary campus

This fall, the University of Lethbridge welcomed one of the largest groups of students in its history, with a significant increase in the number of new students starting their classes at the Calgary campus. Enrolment in Calgary increased by 2.6 per cent, for a total of 795 students. Dr. Mike Mahon, U of L president, announced the figure during his annual Fiat Lux address on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

This fall, the University of Lethbridge welcomed one of the largest groups of students in its history. The number of students registered at the U of L totals 8,453, which represents an increase of 2.8 per cent from last fall. Registration for Spooky Science Weekend opens Thursday

Parents who want to avoid being haunted by their children this Halloween can register them for the popular Spooky Science Weekend beginning Thursday, October 8. Children aged five to 12 are invited to participate in a variety of Halloween-themed science activities in three separate sessions at the University of Lethbridge. Youngsters will be creating stomp rockets, performing crime scene investigations, using ghost cannons and making ice cream using liquid nitrogen.
